Job Summary:

The Lease Abstractor is responsible for analyzing and summarizing lease agreements for commercial properties. This role involves extracting pertinent information from lease documents and entering it into databases or reports for easy reference by various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

· Review lease agreements and extract key information such as lease terms, rent amounts, renewal options, tenant responsibilities, and landlord obligations.

· Organize and input abstracted lease data into databases or software systems.

· Identify discrepancies or missing information within lease documents and communicate with relevant parties to resolve issues.

· Generate accurate and concise summaries of lease agreements for use by property managers, landlords, and other stakeholders.

· Collaborate with legal and leasing teams to ensure compliance with lease terms and applicable laws and regulations.

· Maintain an organized database of abstracted lease information for easy retrieval and analysis.

· Assist in lease administration tasks such as lease renewals, amendments, and rent escalations as needed.

· Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to lease abstraction and commercial real estate.

Qualifications:

· Master’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, Commerce or a related field.

· Previous experience in lease abstraction, commercial real estate, property management, or related areas preferred.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret lease terms and legal language.

· Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and lease management software.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

· Knowledge of real estate laws and regulations is a plus.
