Your Impact
As a Lead Transport Planner, competent in microscopic/mesoscopic transport modelling and junction modelling packages. He/she will be responsible for quality project delivery. Good understanding of transport planning GDC business area and should be a team player as well as task manager. Exhibits clear progression towards a technical career path. Ensure clean delivery with close coordination with lead office project manager, delivery team and project reviewer.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an expert within transport planning discipline with specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in VISSIM and other microscopic/mesoscopic modelling software - Interpret internal or external business issues and recommend best practices
- Solves complex problems; take a broad perspective to identify different solutions; guide others in resolving complex issues in specialized area based on existing solutions and procedures
- Able to work independently, with guidance from SME/ technical lead in only the most complex situations - Ableto lead functional teams or projects.
- Take additional responsibility to support smooth functioning of the TP business.
- Prepare to be a SME in future.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Transportation Planning/Engineering
Experience
- 8+ years of experience with GDC exposure (APAC/UK/ME)
KEY COMPETENCY – Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge and experience in using standard microscopic/ mesoscopic transport modelling packages and recognized transport appraisal techniques
- Advanced knowledge in VISSIM, demonstrable experience in Linsig/ SIDRA software, ability to produce clear, precise and coherent traffic analysis, and reports
- Experience with Aimsun, EMME, MapInfo, Cube is preferred
- Experience working as a functional team/group lead is desired
- Relevant transport modelling experience in other regions (APAC/UK/USA/ME).
- Ability to work both as part of a sophisticated multi-disciplinary team as well as possessing the ability to work independently to solve problems.
- Capable of working under challenging workload subject to short notice.
