As a Lead Transport Planner, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality projects. Your responsibilities include being competent in microscopic/mesoscopic transport modeling and junction modeling packages. You should have a good understanding of transport planning in the GDC business area, be a team player, and excel as a task manager. It is essential to exhibit clear progression towards a technical career path and ensure clean project delivery through close coordination with the lead office project manager, delivery team, and project reviewer. You will need to have in-depth knowledge and experience in using standard microscopic/mesoscopic transport modeling packages and recognized transport appraisal techniques. Advanced proficiency in VISSIM, demonstrable experience in Linsig/SIDRA software, and the ability to produce clear, precise, and coherent traffic analysis reports are required. Experience with software such as Aimsun, EMME, MapInfo, and Cube is preferred. Additionally, relevant transport modeling experience in other regions (APAC/UK/USA/ME) is beneficial. Your responsibilities will include serving as an expert in transport planning, interpreting internal or external business issues, recommending best practices, and solving complex problems. You should be able to work independently, with guidance from subject matter experts or technical leads, and lead functional teams or projects. Taking additional responsibility to support the smooth functioning of the transport planning business is expected, preparing you to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the future. To be eligible for this role, you should have a Master's degree in Transportation Planning/Engineering and a minimum of 8 years of experience with GDC exposure (APAC/UK/ME). Proven experience of working on UK/ME/ANZ projects is a definite advantage.
