Your responsibilities include being competent in microscopic/mesoscopic transport modeling and junction modeling packages. The appointed candidate will assist senior team members in undertaking intersection analysis, traffic simulations, travel demand modelling, and providing support services for the submission of traffic impact studies and transportation master plans. You will support on the data analysis and data processing for the traffic analysis work and in site access studies. You will work with experienced strategic and micro-simulation modellers across Canada who are at the cutting edge of modeling software application. Experience and knowledge of junction design and analysis, traffic software including (Synchro, SIDRA, HCS, Vistro), strategic modeling software (Emme, VISUM, Aimsun, TransCAD), and micro-simulation modeling (VISSIM) as well as a good understanding of fundamental modeling techniques and traffic management techniques to enable you to work effectively as part of the team. Experience in highway design and application of CAD software for the design works would be an additional benefit.
