Lead Structural Design – CSD

Purpose / Objective:

As a Lead - Structural Design at Adani, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the structural design of complex mixed-use development projects from inception to completion. You will ensure adherence to design standards, budgets, and timelines while fostering a culture of innovation and sustainability. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects and contribute to the growth and development of Adani's infrastructure portfolio.

Responsibility:

• Project Leadership:

  Lead and manage structure design of complex mixed-use design projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to design standards, budgets, and timelines.

• Design Management:

  Evaluate and review structural designs, drawings, and specifications for compliance with building codes, standards, and project requirements. Identify potential design issues and propose innovative solutions to optimize structural performance and efficiency. Conduct thorough structural analyses to ensure designs meet safety and performance criteria.

• Coordination:

  Collaborate with external consultants and internal project teams to ensure seamless integration of structural designs into overall project plans. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to coordinate design changes and resolve any conflicts that may arise during the construction process. Provide support in the development of interdisciplinary coordination drawings.

• Value Engineering:

  Undertake value engineering for all projects to optimize the design proposed by consultants.

• Communication:

  Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, conveying complex technical information in a clear and concise manner. Prepare comprehensive design review reports, highlighting key findings, recommendations, and potential areas of improvement. Foster open communication channels to facilitate collaboration among project team members.

• Regulatory Compliance:

  Stay abreast of relevant building codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements affecting structural design. Ensure that structural designs adhere to all applicable codes and standards. Ensure that design projects comply with zoning regulations, local codes, and planning guidelines.

• Quality Assurance:

  Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of structural designs. Perform periodic site visits to assess the implementation of structural designs and address any on-site challenges.

• Stakeholder Engagement:

  Engage with community members, government agencies, and stakeholders to gather input, build consensus, and address concerns.

• Design Excellence:

  Demonstrate a good sense of structural design and ability to coordinate with local and international consultants.

• Team Mentorship:

  Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering their professional growth and development.

• Research and Analysis:

  Conduct design research and analysis to inform design decisions, incorporating best practices, emerging trends, and sustainable design principles.

• Sustainability:

  Incorporate sustainable design principles and environmental considerations into master plans.

*Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering + Master's degree in Structural Engineering
• 12 - 15 years of experience in the Hospitality-led mixed-use development, Retail, and Business Park industry.
