Lead Software Engineer – DBA & Cloud Migration

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer with expertise in database administration and cloud migration to oversee complex database migrations to AWS cloud environments, ensuring high availability, seamless performance, and data consistency.

This role involves leading end-to-end migration projects, leveraging advanced AWS tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead database migration projects, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases, to AWS RDS, Amazon Aurora, and EC2-based environments
• Analyze, plan, and execute migration strategies while ensuring data consistency and optimal cloud-native performance post-migration
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, availability, and data consistency during and after migration
• Conduct assessments to identify migration readiness and propose necessary adjustments for success
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and validate scalable database migration architectures

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in IT infrastructure and database/cloud migrations
• Background in AWS migration projects, including database environments such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
• Knowledge of AWS DMS, AWS SCT, Amazon RDS, and Amazon Aurora
• Understanding of AWS services like AWS Glue, Amazon CloudWatch, and AWS Performance Insights
• Expertise in automating data transformation, performance tuning, and validation processes
• Flexibility to handle database-native replication tools and high-availability implementations
