Lead Software Development Test Engineer

As an experienced IT professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Information Technology group at DTCC. Your key responsibilities will include: - Supporting an environment that ensures employees understand how their efforts contribute to the overall business strategy - Managing the team's book of work, partnering with leadership to plan the future supply and demand of resources required - Evaluating the testing status of projects while identifying and escalating critical risks - Ensuring on-time delivery of work by monitoring dependencies, tracking progress, and project milestone completion - Influencing designs towards re-usable IT components and services with a focus on test validation and test automation principles - Maintaining a high degree of cross-team and cross-application coordination to ensure end-to-end testing meets intended objectives - Driving the preparation and execution of end-to-end and automated test planning and execution activities - Providing testing expertise to project teams and partnering with the Development team to troubleshoot application issues - Interacting with senior management to share and present future automation strategy - Ensuring the team's adherence to departmental and organizational policies and procedures - Reviewing test strategy with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive coverage and obtain feedback - Responsible for the provisioning of test environments for the team and assisting with coordination to resolve issues - Mitigating risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors, and demonstrating strong ethical behavior Qualifications: - Minimum of 7 years of related experience - Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience Talents Needed for Success: - Highlighting the expected benefits of new actions and strategies to help others overcome fears of change - Fostering a culture where honesty and transparency are expected - Proactively seeking feedback from others on your own performance and ensuring regular feedback is given in a constructive and behaviorally oriented manner - Supporting an environment where individuals are respected for their contributions - Acting as a role model for respect and inclusion by showing consideration for people's different needs and encouraging appreciation for different customs and beliefs Testing Concepts: - Responsible for system integration testing of newly developed or enhanced applications - Requires in-depth knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle - Possesses good Testing Process knowledge and a detailed understanding of AGILE methodology - Works with project teams during early stages to establish plans, standards, and procedures that will add value to the testing effort - Ensures on-time delivery of work by monitoring external and internal dependencies, tracking progress, and monitoring project milestones accomplishments - Drives the education of Business and Development teams on the testing model, methodology, and processes - Demonstrates Leadership characteristics while handling Product, Development, EAS, and other stakeholders - Demonstrates proficiencies in Project and Quality management, Issue management, and Communication - Assists Testing Manager in reviewing Portfolio Management and Resource Management forecast reports - Monitors adherence to quality standards during the testing of production applications and identifies areas of strengths and weaknesses - Identifies process improvement opportunities and communicates to the project coordinator - Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, and ALM Domain Knowledge: - Ability to work closely with business and development subject matter experts to continually improve depth and breadth of knowledge for the assigned applications/systems Automation: - Experience in writing and executing application tests using industry standard automated testing tools like Selenium - AI Testing exposure would be an added advantage As an experienced IT professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Information Technology group at DTCC.
