Senior Design Engineer – Security (ELV Systems)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Security Management, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive Design Basis Reports (DBRs), system schematics, and conceptual/design drawings for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) security systems.
• Design integrated security systems including IP CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm Systems, Intrusion Detection, and Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS).
• Prepare tender documents, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, costing sheets, and detailed technical reports.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors—participate in project kickoff meetings and provide ongoing updates and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and evaluate technical submissions, vendor documentation, and installation reports for compliance with project standards and requirements.
• Ensure all designs and implementations align with applicable industry codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
• Monitor the progress of consulting projects, ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining high quality standards.
• Serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) in client interactions, effectively addressing technical queries and maintaining clear communication.
• Manage and maintain complete project documentation, including design files, correspondence, and query resolutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the ELV security systems domain, preferably within a consulting or project engineering environment.

Technical Expertise

• In-depth knowledge of security technologies such as IP CCTV, Video Management Systems, Access Control, Fire Alarm Systems, Intrusion Detection, and Gate Barrier Systems.
• Strong understanding of IT network topologies, communication protocols (e.g., IP, BACnet, Modbus, OPC), and cybersecurity considerations relevant to security system design.

Tools & Software Proficiency

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with design and documentation tools for security system planning and coordination.
