Lead SDET - Data Pipeline Testing

You will be joining a global digital solutions company renowned for its expertise in cloud, data engineering, and quality assurance, with a particular emphasis on innovation and agile delivery within the BFSI and Healthcare sectors. As part of this role, you will be tasked with overseeing both manual and automated testing activities across ETL pipelines, UI interfaces, and databases. In addition to managing a team, you will also collaborate extensively with global teams, implementing testing best practices, owning quality strategy documentation, and integrating with CI/CD tools. Your key responsibilities will include leading and overseeing a QA team of at least four members, responsible for ETL, UI, DB, and end-to-end testing. You will be required to analyze requirements, develop detailed test cases, and create test data for both manual and automated testing. Furthermore, you will validate ETL workflows and transformation logic using advanced SQL (Snowflake/Postgres/MySQL) and maintain automation scripts using BDD (Gherkin/Behave, Pytest) in Python. Integration of automation frameworks with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub, and Rundeck will also be part of your role, along with developing and maintaining documentation such as Test Strategy, BRDs, and Defect Reports. Collaboration with DevOps, SRE, developers, and stakeholders will be essential, as well as providing testing metrics and improvement plans to senior leadership. To be successful in this role, you should possess a total of 9-12 years of QA experience, with a minimum of 6 years in ETL/UI/DB testing. You should also have at least 3 years of experience in automation testing using tools like Selenium v3+ and Playwright, with a strong proficiency in Python. Hands-on experience with SQL queries, particularly in Snowflake/Postgres, is required, along with familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms. Demonstrated leadership skills in managing QA team members, experience with Agile methodologies, and excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities are also essential qualifications. Desirable qualifications for this role include exposure to DBT, Informatica, or MS Power BI, knowledge of the Healthcare/Life Sciences domain, and experience in front-end vs. back-end validation.
