Job Description

Role & responsibilities RAN (Radio Access Network) Engineer job description for 2G/4G/5G/NBIOT networks involves a range of responsibilities, including network performance analysis, optimization, and capacity planning. Specifically, roles may focus on 2G/4G/5G/NBIOT networks, requiring expertise in KPIs, customer interactions. Additionally, engineers may be involved in discussions with Business and Network Teams to get things done. Network Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Analyzing E2E KPIs, proposing technology improvements, and ensuring consistent performance. Capacity Planning and Management: Monitoring radio network capacity, license capacity, and spectrum utilization, and proposing upgrades. Network Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving network issues and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction. Team Collaboration: Working with other teams (e.g., circle, corporate network teams) to address network issues and improve customer satisfaction. Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, building analytics. Required Skills and Experience: Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of 2G, 4G, and NBIOT technologies, including network protocols, architectures, and equipment. Candidate should understand the basics of 5G. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze network performance data, identify trends, and propose solutions. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot network issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
