Lead QA Automation Engineer (Python/ETL)

As a global digital solutions company known for expertise in cloud, data engineering, and quality assurance, with a strong focus on innovation and agile delivery across BFSI and Healthcare sectors, we are currently seeking a skilled professional for the position of Leadership Quality Assurance (QA). In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing both manual and automated testing activities across ETL pipelines, UI interfaces, and databases. Additionally, you will lead a team and collaborate extensively with cross-functional global teams. Your responsibilities will include implementing best practices in testing, owning quality strategy documentation, and integrating with CI/CD tools. Key responsibilities for this role include leading and managing a QA team of at least 4 members, handling testing activities for ETL, UI, DB, and end-to-end processes. You will be required to analyze requirements, develop detailed test cases, test data (both manual and automated), and validate ETL workflows and transformation logic using advanced SQL (Snowflake/Postgres/MySQL). Furthermore, you will create and maintain automation scripts using BDD (Gherkin/Behave, Pytest) in Python, integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Rundeck, and develop and maintain documentation including Test Strategy, BRDs, Defect Reports, etc. You will also drive collaboration across DevOps, SRE, developers, and stakeholders, and provide testing metrics and improvement plans to senior leadership. The ideal candidate for this role must possess 9-12 years of total QA experience with a minimum of 6 years in ETL/UI/DB testing, along with at least 3 years of experience in automation testing (Selenium v3+, Playwright) using Python. Strong hands-on experience with SQL queries, particularly in Snowflake/Postgres, is essential. Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms, proven leadership skills in managing QA team members, working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), excellent communication, and stakeholder management skills are also required. Additionally, exposure to DBT, Informatica, or MS Power BI, knowledge of Healthcare/Life Sciences domain, familiarity with front-end vs back-end validation, and willingness to work flexible hours with international teams are considered nice-to-have qualifications.
