As a Lead Product Manager at OpenText, you will have to be a versatile contributor, ready to lead in any area of the product life cycle based on business needs, from market discovery to technical execution. This position usually involves close interactions with one or more of the following groups: sales, marketing, customer support, development managers, cloud operations, user experience experts, product architects and key customers.
What the Role Offers:
- Defining and managing the product roadmap, prioritizing features, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Conducting market research to understand customer needs, identify opportunities, and validate solutions.
- Collaborating with key customers (internal/external) to acquire and respond to product feedback for future product releases and communicate roadmap details.
- Understanding product competitors and supporting the development of competitive responses for sales and marketing.
- Independently managing products and ensuring alignment with other cross-functional teams.
- Balancing customer needs with strategic priorities to define a roadmap that drives product success.
- Tracking and reporting on key product performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing data, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Managing buy/build/partner technology decisions.
- Reducing COGS by leveraging automation, building scalable systems, and utilizing elastic infrastructure to support dynamic product demands.
- Supporting architectural reviews, evaluating technical debts, and educating stakeholders on business outcomes for addressing the same.
- Defining and managing pricing and billing strategies.
- Collaborating with Product Marketing on executing successful product launches, including communication and marketing strategies.
- Contributing to Analyst briefings.
- Championing the product to external partners and stakeholders.
- Wherever appropriate, deliver capabilities as APIs first and commercialize APIs
What you need to succeed:
- 2-5 years of experience in product ownership/management roles and an overall experience of more than 8 years in IT
- Proficient in Agile methodology, writing user stories, and backlog grooming.
- Able to independently conduct user research.
- Strong understanding of SaaS architecture and cloud technologies (GCP, AWS or Azure).
- Experience with enterprise-grade content management systems is desired.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and across geographies.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Bachelors degree in engineering (Computer Science, ECE, or related field).
- Masters degree in business administration (MBA) or equivalent (preferred focus in Product Management, Strategy, or Analytics).
- Knowledge of AI & ML fundamentals
- Familiarity with compliance standards (GDPR, OWASP, WCAG, SOC 2, etc.).
