Description
Role Overview: As a member of the Support organization at Oracle, your main focus will be to provide post-sales support and solutions to Oracle customers. You will serve as an advocate for customer needs and handle post-sales non-technical customer inquiries through phone and electronic means. Additionally, you will address technical questions related to the use of and troubleshooting for Oracle's Electronic Support Services. You will act as a primary point of contact for customers, facilitating customer relationships with Support and offering advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on various customer situations and escalated issues. Key Responsibilities: - Possessing 10+ years of experience as an Oracle Database engineer/Exadata - Demonstrating a very thorough and clear understanding of Oracle Database Architecture, including the latest versions of Oracle 12c & 19c - Having extensive knowledge and solid troubleshooting experience in areas such as RAC, ASM, Exadata, Performance tuning, Data Guard (Physical and Logical), and DG Broker - Handling complex database recovery scenarios and troubleshooting installation and patching issues - Experience with Oracle engineered systems like Exadata, ZDLRA, ZFS, and Oracle Golden Gate - Knowledge and exposure to Cloud technologies such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI/ExaCC), AWS, and MS Azure - Ability to work under pressure, quick thinking, and remaining calm during stressful situations - Quickly grasping complex technical issues - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Willingness to work in shifts, including night shifts as part of a 24x7 rota, and on weekends as needed - Appetite for learning new technologies like OCI/ExaCC/AI and constantly improving technical skills - Good academic background and possession of Oracle Certifications is a must Qualifications Required: - Career Level: IC4 Additional Company Details (if applicable): Diversity and Inclusion: Oracle values diversity and inclusion, offering an inclusive culture that celebrates and values diverse insights and perspectives.
