As a member of the Support organization at Oracle, your focus is on delivering post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while advocating for customer needs. You will be responsible for resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries through phone and electronic channels, as well as addressing technical questions related to the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. Serving as a primary point of contact for customers, you will play a crucial role in fostering customer relationships with Support and providing guidance to internal Oracle employees on various customer situations and escalated issues. With over 10 years of experience as an Oracle Database engineer/Exadata specialist, you are expected to possess a comprehensive understanding of Oracle Database Architecture, including proficiency in the latest versions such as Oracle 12c and 19c. Your extensive knowledge and solid troubleshooting experience should cover areas such as RAC, ASM, Exadata, Performance tuning, Data Guard (Physical and Logical), DG Broker, complex database recovery scenarios, installation and patching issues, Oracle engineered systems, and Oracle Golden Gate. Additionally, exposure and good knowledge of Cloud technologies, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI/ExaCC), AWS, and MS Azure, would be advantageous. As an Advisory Systems Engineer at Oracle, you will be part of the problem-solving/avoidance team and expected to be an expert in resolving highly complex and critical customer issues. Operating with a high level of autonomy, you will report regularly to management on customer status and technical matters. Your role will involve working with minimal guidance from management and providing expert technical advice to customers and Oracle employees. In addition to technical expertise, you must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a willingness to work in shifts, including night shifts as part of a 24x7 rota, and on weekends when necessary.
