Duties and Responsibilities: - CMS Process Management: Develop, implement, and maintain processes for Configuration Management System (CMS) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) data management to uphold data accuracy, completeness, and consistency in alignment with established standards. - Data Analysis and Reporting: Create, manage, review, and update all procedural documentation and work instructions related to the Configuration Management Process for effective data analysis and reporting. - Process Improvement: Continuously enhance CMDB processes to conform to ITIL best practices and meet evolving business needs. - Audit and Compliance: Define and enhance the Configuration Audit process and conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with set standards. - Trainings: Develop training materials for Configuration Item (CI) owners and communicate the Configuration Management process to IT teams. - Data Standardization: Manage data across various CMDB tables and assets, ensuring normalization and standardization of information. - Discovery: Plan and oversee input to the Configuration Management System, including data discovery and import methods. - Integrations: Configure efficient Identification and Reconciliation processes and monitor CMDB health to address conflicts between data sources. - Relationships: Establish and maintain standard CIs, CI relationships, and CMDB Classification as per business requirements. - CSDM: Define and implement the Allegion Specific Configuration System Data Model (CSDM) in alignment with management and stakeholder needs. - Access Guardrails: Ensure appropriate security measures and access levels are maintained within the Configuration Management System. - Reporting: Analyze CMDB data to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and generate reports as per the requirements of Management and Business Stakeholders. - Execute delegated duties and tasks from the process owner while adapting to changing priorities and business demands. Technical Expertise: - Proficient in ITIL v3/v4 processes and familiar with IT Asset Management (ITAM) tools such as ServiceNow, BMC, Flexera, Snow, SLM, SCCM, and Intune. Prior knowledge of ServiceNow is advantageous. - Solid understanding of ServiceNow MID server configuration and data source integrations with ServiceNow. - Strong knowledge of CMDB life cycle management within the ServiceNow environment. - Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) and CSDM. Professional Attributes: - Process-oriented individual with a strong grasp of Configuration Management System Data Model (CSDM) and Service Mapping concepts. - Possesses personal attributes like Stakeholder Management, Communication Skills, Analytical Skills, Presentation Skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. - Experience collaborating with global teams in an international work environment.
