Lead I - UX Designer - Software Engineering

Hiring Locations: Chennai, Trivandrum, KochiRole DescriptionThe Senior UX Designer will lead design engagements by defining UX strategy, conceptualizing solutions, crafting user journeys, information architecture, prototyping, and creating visual designs for large-scale enterprise applications. The role requires strong collaboration with stakeholders, product teams, and design leads to deliver exceptional user experiences that meet both product and business objectives. You will be responsible for mentoring UX teams, advocating for user-centered design, and driving innovative solutions that are future-proof, scalable, and impactful.ResponsibilitiesUX Strategy & Design ExecutionCreate and lead UX strategy, conceptualization, and design for complex enterprise applications.Develop user journeys, information architecture, and wireframes (low and high fidelity).Build interactive prototypes to demonstrate concepts and validate designs.Maintain UX\/IA templates, documentation, assets, personas, user flows, and navigational maps.Perform experience audits and apply cross-industry best practices to enhance product experiences.Research & InsightsConduct qualitative and quantitative user research, including ethnography and usability testing.Translate business priorities into research questions and actionable design insights.Formulate information architecture and navigation for complex data structures.Develop deep understanding of target audiences, their needs, behaviors, and expectations.Collaboration & Stakeholder ManagementWork closely with product managers, product owners, architects, and development teams.Facilitate design discussions with senior stakeholders, evangelizing UX best practices.Communicate and coordinate design strategies across multi-audience, multi-channel, multi-app environments.Leadership & MentoringManage and mentor UX Designers and\/or Information Architects.Guide teams in aligning design work with business goals and technical constraints.Advocate for UX excellence within the organization.Mandatory Skills10+ years of experience in UX\/UI design for web or enterprise applications.Strong experience in UX strategy, conceptualization, user flows, and information architecture.Proficiency in creating low\/high fidelity wireframes and clickable prototypes.Expertise in usability research methods and translating findings into design improvements.Strong understanding of UX standards, accessibility guidelines, and responsive design principles.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence stakeholders.Experience redefining user experience for enterprise applications.Good-to-Have SkillsExposure to US Healthcare and Medicare business.Experience working on large-scale, multi-channel, or multi-audience platforms.Familiarity with Agile\/Scrum methodologies and collaboration tools (e.g., Mural, Miro, Figma, Adobe XD).Soft SkillsStrong problem-solving and analytical thinking.Ability to balance user needs, business requirements, and technical feasibility.Leadership and mentoring capabilities.High adaptability and ability to work in fast-paced environments.Collaborative mindset with a focus on stakeholder alignment.Experience Range10+ years of relevant experience in web application UX\/UI design.
