This role involves guiding junior developers, collaborating with engineering leads, and contributing to system architecture and optimization initiatives. The role requires hands-on coding, mentoring, and an active role in improving delivery efficiency and quality. Responsibilities Develop and maintain software applications independently. Understand application\/feature\/component designs and implement accordingly. Debug, test, document, and communicate development progress and issues. Optimize development processes for efficiency, cost, and quality. Mentor and guide junior developers (Developer 1 and Developer 2). Perform root cause analysis and fix defects\/issues proactively. Assist in technical design reviews and architectural decisions. Create and review unit test cases and execution plans. Document technical work and perform peer reviews. Estimate efforts and resources for assigned modules. Follow and contribute to knowledge management processes. Execute module-level release and deployment tasks. Participate in domain understanding to ensure business relevance. Set and monitor development goals (FAST goals) for mentees. Mandatory Skills Proficiency in software development (e.g., Java, .NET, Python specify as applicable). Strong knowledge of software design principles and patterns. Experience with SQL and databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL). Hands-on experience with version control tools (e.g., Git). Unit testing and debugging experience. Good understanding of Agile development practices. Experience with IDEs (e.g., Eclipse, Visual Studio, IntelliJ). Familiarity with CI\/CD pipelines. Good to Have Skills Experience in ETL pipelines and data integration. Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Understanding of data lineage, data flows, and data quality. Knowledge of containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with performance tuning and code optimization. Exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
