Job Description

Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS Cloud Engineer with a strong background in cloud migration projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS, with a proven track record of migrating legacy systems to the cloud. Experience with mainframe systems is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute end-to-end cloud migration projects from on-premise or legacy systems to AWS.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures.
  • Collaborate with development teams to modernize and migrate .NET/Mainframe-based applications to AWS.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Optimize cloud usage and costs through automation and monitoring.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. (Optional) Interface with mainframe systems during migration or integration phases.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, SQS, SNS etc.).
  • Strong AWS experience, including EC2, S3, EKS, Lambda, Glue, and CloudWatch for logging and monitoring.
  • Intermediate experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
  • Experience with AWS MWAA, AWS Aurora Postgres, and EMR Serverless for data pipeline management.
  • Proven experience in cloud migration projects, including rehosting, replatforming, and refactoring.Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS) and serverless architectures. Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK, Datadog).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
