About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Lead Full Stack Developer to join our India-based engineering team. As a key engineering leader, you will play a hands-on and strategic role in designing, building, and scaling full-stack applications that impact users across the globe. This role combines technical leadership, hands-on development, cloud expertise, and mentorship, and offers a chance to work closely with cross-functional global teams.You'll take ownership of the end-to-end technical stack, from backend services and frontend interfaces to AWS cloud infrastructure. What You'll Do
Technical Leadership :
- Lead the design and implementation of backend services, APIs, and full-stack product features.
- Partner with architects and product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Influence architectural decisions around scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Champion engineering best practices including code quality, testing, CI/CD, and performance tuning.
Hands-on Development
- Develop robust backend systems using Ruby on Rails or Python/Django.
- Contribute to frontend development using ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3.
- Build RESTful APIs and microservices integrated with PostgreSQL or MySQL databases.
- Develop and deploy services using AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFormation etc.).
Team Collaboration & Agile Delivery
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers during sprints and releases.
- Collaborate with global, cross-shore teams to ensure timely and aligned deliveries.
- Conduct regular code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions.
- Act as the go-to person for resolving complex technical blockers.
Mentorship & Growth
- Provide technical mentorship and support to junior/mid-level developers.
- Contribute to team hiring, onboarding, and culture-building initiatives.
- Encourage a strong engineering culture with a focus on clean code, learning, and feedback.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 68 years of full-stack development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proficient in Ruby on Rails or Python/Django.
- Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Solid understanding of AWS services and cloud-native development.
- Strong frontend development experience with ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML/CSS.
- Proficiency with Git, version control workflows, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication and architectural thinking skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record of scaling web applications in production environments.
- Expertise in RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and managing delivery in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to mentor, inspire, and lead a geographically distributed team.
- Passion for clean, maintainable code and modern software development principles.
