Job Description

Define and communicate the architectural vision for full-stack and event-driven systems, aligning with enterprise guardrails.
Drive high-stakes design decisions across products and teams, including build vs. buy, domain boundaries, and data models.
Lead, mentor, and grow engineers through coaching, design reviews, and career guidance.
Establish and monitor SLIs/SLOs, partnering with SRE to improve availability, latency, and cost efficiency.
Champion secure-by-design practices, conduct threat modeling, oversee penetration tests, and drive remediation at scale.
Integrate Generative AI capabilities into platform architecture, balancing innovation with risk.
Influence portfolio roadmaps by articulating technical trade-offs and business impact to senior leadership.
Cultivate an engineering culture focused on psychological safety, learning, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Demonstrated mastery of full-stack development (React/TypeScript; Kotlin/Micronaut, Java/Spring, Python) and distributed system design.
Proven track record operating mission-critical, high-scale platforms with 99.9%+ availability.
Deep expertise in cloud architecture (GCP preferred), CI/CD automation, observability, and cost optimization.
Extensive knowledge of application and infrastructure security, compliance (PCI-DSS, GLBA, SOX), and incident management.
Experience architecting and shipping AI-powered capabilities (OpenAI, Vertex AI, Hugging Face, vector DBs) to production.
Exceptional communication and influence skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse stakeholders.
