Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Lead the preparation and review of E&I design deliverables:

Electrical layouts (SLDs, cable routing, earthing, lighting)

Instrument layouts (JB location, hookup drawings, loop diagrams)

Develop and maintain Instrument Index, I/O list, and cable schedules

Coordinate with Process, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Control teams

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers

Ensure all designs adhere to applicable standards (IEC, NEC, API, ISA)

Participate in design reviews, model reviews (3D), and resolve clashes

Interface with vendors for technical documentation and layout validation

Manage work allocation, quality checks, and adherence to project timelines

Preferred candidate profile

Proficient in:
AutoCAD
,
MicroStation
SP3D
,
E3D
(Essential)
Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI)
Understanding of:
ETAP
or similar for electrical load calculation
Cable sizing, voltage drop calculations
Instrumentation loop and hook-up drawings

Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering
1218 years of relevant experience in E&I design for
Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical
projects
