Description
Role & responsibilities Lead the structural design and engineering activities for onshore/offshore Oil & Gas facilities (e.g., pipe racks, equipment supports, platforms, foundations, etc.). Develop and review design basis, specifications, and standards in accordance with project and client requirements. Perform detailed analysis and design using international codes such as ACI, AISC, API, BS, Eurocodes, IS codes, etc. Prepare and check structural calculations, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, bar bending schedules, and material take-offs (MTOs). Supervise a team of engineers and designers; assign tasks and ensure quality and timely delivery of design deliverables. Conduct design reviews, interface coordination with other disciplines (civil, piping, mechanical), and resolve technical issues. Provide technical guidance during model reviews (3D/2D) and support the development of structural models using tools like STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit. Review and approve vendor drawings, ensure alignment with design intent. Support site queries, construction issues, and as-built documentation during execution and commissioning phases. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelors/Master’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. Strong expertise in structural analysis/design software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, TEKLA, Navisworks, etc. In-depth knowledge of Oil & Gas project lifecycle (FEED, EPC, Detail Design, Construction Support).
