Role Overview:

The Lead Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and review of structural systems for hyperscale data centers. The role involves leading the structural design team, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams (Architectural, MEP, and Civil), ensuring compliance with international codes, and supporting project execution through all phases — from concept to construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the

  structural design and analysis

  for hyperscale data center projects, ensuring robustness, efficiency, and compliance with design standards.
• Develop and review

  design basis reports, structural drawings, and calculations

  in accordance with local and global codes (IS, ACI, AISC, BS, or Eurocodes).
• Collaborate with

  architectural, civil, MEP, and construction teams

  for seamless project delivery.
• Evaluate and select appropriate

  construction materials and systems

  considering performance, cost, and sustainability.
• Provide technical leadership during

  tendering, design coordination, and construction phases

  .
• Conduct design reviews, peer checks, and provide

  value engineering inputs

  to optimize structural solutions.
• Interface with clients, consultants, and vendors for design approvals and clarifications.
  
• Ensure all design deliverables meet

  safety, quality, and schedule requirements

  .
• Support site teams with

  design clarifications, RFIs

  , and field modifications when required.
• Stay updated with emerging

  data center design trends

  , structural technologies, and sustainability practices.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong experience in

  RCC and steel structure design

  for large-scale industrial or data center projects.
• Expertise in

  structural modeling and analysis tools

  such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, Tekla, or Revit Structures.
• Familiarity with

  seismic design, vibration control, and load management

  in mission-critical facilities.
• Knowledge of

  foundation systems, superstructure design

  , and

  heavy equipment load-bearing

  design.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  
• 10–18 years of experience in

  structural design

  , with at least

  5+ years in data centers, industrial, or mission-critical projects

  .
• Experience working with

  hyperscale clients

  (AWS, Google, Microsoft, etc.) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with

  international codes and standards

  (ACI, AISC, IS, Eurocode).
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent certification will be an added advantage.
  

Preferred Background:

• Experience with

  Tier III or Tier IV data center

  projects.
• Exposure to

  fast-track design-build

  or EPC environments.
• Ability to manage

  multiple stakeholders and consultants

  across geographies.
