As a Supply Management Specialist for the respective category of Materials, your role involves end-to-end supply management within targeted cost, quality, and time parameters. You will participate in category management activities as directed by the Procurement Lead. Your responsibilities include: - Formulating the Procurement Strategy for the respective category - Tracking supply market dynamics and global trends for Direct items - Conducting ongoing supply market analysis - Developing detailed supply market profiles for all materials under your control - Providing inputs for the Procurement Strategy formulation, including vendors, pricing/cost, contractual relationships, lead time, and inventory levels You will guide Buyer/Senior Buyer in undertaking category management activities such as: - Category portfolio analysis - Internal cost estimates - Consolidating/optimizing category-wise spend - Exploring alternative procurement sources - Standardizing contract templates and SLAs Additionally, you will provide inputs for Annual Procurement Planning & Budgeting by: - Conducting annual requirement planning based on the business plan - Providing pricing inputs for the Annual Procurement Budget - Reviewing and making necessary changes to the Annual Materials Plan - Analyzing spend vs budget and developing action plans as needed Your responsibilities also include: - Sourcing events, vendor identification, negotiation, and selection - Managing timely delivery of procured items and addressing any related issues - Monitoring procurement dashboards for operational performance levels - Developing and managing vendor relationships - Using technology to increase efficiency and control costs - Acting as a liaison between procurement and other departments - Facilitating team development and motivation Qualification Required: - Education: B. Tech / B E - Experience: 12-15 years in respective category sourcing and manufacturing - Desirable: Certification by Procurement Professional Bodies, relevant experience in similar operating environments Skills & Competencies: - Analytical thinking - Strong written and oral communication skills - Knowledge of equipment, process/maintenance activities - Commercial acumen You will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient supply management and fostering positive vendor relationships while driving cost-effective procurement strategies.,
