Laundry Manager

As the Laundry Manager at our esteemed hotel, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and services of the hotel laundry department. Your primary duties will include directing and working alongside employees to wash, dry, and iron linen for guest rooms as well as the Food and Beverage/Culinary Department, all while adhering to established time constraints. It will be your duty to maintain a safe and clean work environment, striving to ensure the satisfaction of both guests and employees while maximizing the financial performance of the department. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring high quality standards and meeting customer expectations on a daily basis. You will supervise and manage employees, understand their positions well enough to step in when needed, and communicate the importance of safety procedures to ensure a secure work environment. Additionally, you will monitor workflow to minimize production fluctuations and address any issues to the department manager and Human Resources when necessary. Your responsibilities will also include ordering and managing necessary supplies within budget constraints, understanding the impact of department operations on overall hotel financial goals, and working effectively with the Engineering department on equipment maintenance needs. Furthermore, you will lead discipline teams, maintain productivity levels, and encourage mutual trust and cooperation among team members. Providing exceptional customer service will be a key aspect of your role, as you strive to exceed customer satisfaction and retention expectations. You will also be involved in human resources activities such as employee success recognition, staffing management, performance appraisals, and disciplinary procedures.
