Job Summary

We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our diagnostic lab in Shimla. The ideal candidate will support specimen processing, run routine tests, ensure quality control, and help maintain a safe and efficient lab environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and analyze patient samples using automated and manual techniques.
• Perform routine laboratory tests (e.g., hematology, biochemistry, serology) as per standard operating procedures.
• Calibrate and operate laboratory equipment; perform daily quality control checks.
• Maintain accurate and organized patient data and test results.
• Adhere to safety, contamination control, and waste disposal protocols.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Document and report any deviations or instrument malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Support phlebotomy or sample collection

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or equivalent.
• Valid relevant certification/licensure (if required by local regulations).
• Prior experience in a clinical diagnostic lab is preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS) and basic IT skills.
• Attention to detail, good communication, and teamwork.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of laboratory safety and quality control.
• Problem-solving mindset and meticulous documentation.
