Lab Technician

Vacancy: Lab Technician at Universal Diagnostics, Shimla

Universal Diagnostics invites applications for the position of Lab Technician at our Shimla facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests as per standard operating procedures.
• Prepare, analyze, and process specimens with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality control, and infection control protocols.
• Record, review, and report test results with attention to detail.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Collaborate with clinicians and other staff to support diagnostic workflows.

Requirements

• Educational Qualification: Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) or equivalent.
• Experience: 1–3 years in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory preferred.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, and sample preparation. Proficiency in using laboratory information systems (LIS) and standard lab equipment.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., ASLMS, NABL-adjacent programs) are a plus.
• Other: Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to comply with biosafety regulations.
