What You Can Expect

Hardware:

• Board hardware tasks include CPU swaps, NIC card swaps. Console port issues, etc

• Linux/Windows machines.

• Addition or removal of RAM, NIC, hard disk, etc

Software

• Linux Distro installations.

• Windows Server installations and maintenance.

• DHCP maintenance.

Inventory and lab support

• Co-ordinate with procurement teams for receiving and commissioning equipment, associated book-keeping and compliance with the relevant processes.

• Maintenance of hardware inventory across teams.

• Maintain inventory of lab relates software license for traffic generator, 3rd party software and coordinate renewal in timely manner.

• Handling and tracking of devices movement within teams.

• Quotation requests from vendors and follow-up on POs raised.

• Lab IPv4 network connectivity management and maintenance.

• Racking and stacking of the devices.

• Addressing all Ad-hoc connection request changes.

• Soldering and other electrical jobs as required.

What we're Looking For

• bachelors degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Hardware Management : Experience with setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting lab equipment (servers, switches, routers, test instruments, etc )

• Networking Knowledge : Understanding of LAN/WAN, IP addressing, VLANs, and basic network troubleshooting

• Operating Systems : Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments

• Scripting Automation : Familiarity with scripting languages (e. g. , Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automating lab tasks

• Virtualization : Experience with VMware, VirtualBox, or other virtualization platforms

• Inventory Management : Tools and practices for tracking lab assets, licenses, and consumables

• Test Equipment : Knowledge of tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, traffic generators (e. g. , Ixia, Spirent), etc

• Lab Safety Compliance : Understanding of ESD precautions, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
