Job Description – DMLT (Medical Laboratory Technician)Position: Medical Laboratory Technician (DMLT)Department: Laboratory ServicesReports to: Pathologist / Lab In-charge / Centre HeadKey Responsibilities:

• Collect, label, and process biological samples (blood, urine, sputum, stool, etc.) safely and accurately.
• Perform routine and specialized diagnostic tests (hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, serology, histopathology, etc.) under supervision.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, analyzers, microscopes, and spectrophotometers.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and culture media as per laboratory protocols.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results by following quality control procedures.
• Record, analyze, and maintain patient test data and prepare reports for doctors’ review.
• Follow biosafety, infection control, and waste disposal protocols.
• Support senior pathologists, microbiologists, and other medical professionals during advanced testing and research.
• Maintain stock of laboratory supplies and ensure timely requisition.
• Adhere to NABL / ISO / hospital quality standards.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and instruments.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
• Basic computer knowledge for data entry and report generation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to handle samples safely and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) from a recognized institute/university.
• Additional certification or experience in specialized labs (biochemistry, microbiology, pathology) preferred.

Experience:

• Fresher or 1–3 years of experience in a diagnostic lab / hospital laboratory.

Work Environment:

• Hospital laboratories, diagnostic centers, research labs, or blood banks.
• Shift duties may be required depending on hospital/center policy

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
