Job Description

Job Accountabilities

Minimum operating and transit losses

Verify calibration of Hydrometersand Thermometers used in Laboratory, Tank farm and Road Gantry periodically andalso for Retail outlets for right accounting of products and Loss / Gain.

Reduction in costs

Optimal use ofuse chemicals and consumables
Monitor andcontrol costs against budget
Coordinate withTechnical Services Jamnagar for disposal of off spec.

Achievement of Q Q proposition and customer satisfaction

Analyze various product samples (including ROsamples) and publish Test results timely along with uploading in LIMS for ontime release of products
Responsible for arranging maintenance andcalibration of laboratory equipment by competent authorities wherever required
Verification of two hourlydensities vis- -vis batch formation density and monitor quality of Productsstored at Location.

Total compliance to Operations, HSSE, and Qualitymanagement system and maintenance procedures

Ensure adherence to IQCM in allreceipt, storage and delivery operation by all departments to ensure qualityassurance to the customers
Undertake QC audit once in sixmonths
Compliance of all ISOrequirements
Investigate cases of densityvariation if any due to layering etc. at terminal and complaints on the samereceived from ROs /customers and initiate appropriate action/advise
Ensure use of PPEs and system ofwork permits
Coordinate to fulfil all statutory requirements
Co-ordinate for procurement of laboratory glassware andchemicals/ consumables.

Learning and Development

Totalcompliance to Operations, HSSE, and Quality management system and maintenanceprocedures.
Also share/train lab assistant,gantry in-charge and tank-farm in-charge on all the test methods/testprocedures including calibration of lab equipment
Conduct toll box talks to TT crewand Agency staff on sampling and gauging

Education Requirement

Graduate/ Post Graduate inChemistry

Experience Requirement

Minimum 2 year experiencein Lab in RRTF/ Plant
