The university offers a diverse range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across multiple disciplines. 🧪 Lab Assistant Positions Available VGU invites applications for Lab Assistant positions in the following departments: Pharmacy Paramedical Physiotherapy 🔬 Key Responsibilities Pharmacy/Paramedical/Physiotherapy Lab Assistant Medication Preparation & Dispensing: Assist in compounding and dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards. Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain pharmaceutical stock levels, ensuring proper storage and handling. Laboratory Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functionality. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain detailed records of medication preparation, dispensing activities, and inventory transactions. Quality Control: Assist in conducting quality control tests and report any discrepancies to the supervising pharmacist. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and other medical staff to ensure safe and effective medication therapy. 🎓 Qualifications & Experience Educational Background: Pharmacy: Diploma or degree in Pharmacy. Paramedical: Diploma or degree in relevant paramedical courses. Physiotherapy: Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT). Experience: Previous experience in a laboratory setting is highly desirable. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with laboratory software systems and electronic records is advantageous. Skills Required: Computer Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Equipment Calibration & Maintenance: Ability to calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment. Laboratory Safety & Assurance: Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance practices. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
