Job Description

The Laboratory Assistant supports the daily operations of a laboratory by preparing materials, conducting basic experiments, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. This role is essential for assisting researchers, scientists, or students in achieving accurate and reliable results in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities:Prepare and label samples, reagents, solutions, and other laboratory materials Assist with routine experiments under supervision Set up and maintain laboratory equipment (e.g., centrifuges, microscopes, pipettes) Record data accurately and maintain detailed laboratory logs Clean and sterilize glassware, tools, and workspaces Monitor and restock inventory of lab supplies Dispose of chemical and biological waste according to safety regulations Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and regulatory guidelines Assist with data entry, analysis, and reporting as needed as lab assistant
