Job Description

As an experienced L3 Support Engineer with expertise in Java-based applications, database troubleshooting, and DevSecOps practices, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. Your responsibilities will include: - Handling escalations from L1/L2 teams, conducting root cause analysis, and resolving complex production issues. - Debugging Java applications (Spring, REST APIs, microservices) in production and staging environments. - Collaborating with development teams to provide permanent fixes and suggest code-level improvements. - Performing advanced SQL query analysis, indexing, and query optimization. - Diagnosing DB performance issues, deadlocks, replication errors, and data integrity concerns. - Working with DBAs to design schema changes and implement corrective actions. - Managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar) for deploying hotfixes and releases. - Applying security best practices in application and infrastructure support (vulnerability scanning, patching). - Automating monitoring, alerts, and log analysis using tools like ELK/EFK, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk. - Supporting containerized and cloud-native applications (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS/Azure). - Ensuring SLAs are met by monitoring, triaging, and resolving P1/P2 incidents. - Conducting post-incident reviews and driving permanent fixes via problem management. - Maintaining runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base for recurring issues. Your required skills and experience include: Technical Skills: - Strong knowledge of Java / J2EE, Spring Boot, REST APIs debugging. - Hands-on experience with SQL / Oracle / PostgreSQL / MySQL query tuning & troubleshooting. - Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps). - Knowledge of DevSecOps practices (security scanning, compliance automation, secrets management). - Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift). - Familiarity with monitoring & logging tools (Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana). - Ability to leverage AI technologies for process optimization and day-to-day work. Soft Skills: - Strong problem-solving & debugging skills. - Ability to work under pressure during production incidents. - Excellent communication skills to collaborate across Dev, Ops, Security, and Business teams. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, along with 5+ years of L2/L3 Application Support experience in enterprise environments. Certifications in Java, Cloud (AWS/Azure), Kubernetes, or DevOps are considered a plus.,
