L2 System Support Engineer

Functional Area- VMware, Linux servers, Firewall, Load Balancer, Storage & SAN devices Pre-requisite: - Network, Hardware and Security support & maintenance. Including sound knowledge of both Red hat, Windows servers & VMware. Certification:- Linux/VMware Professional certification Additional certification:- CCNA/CCNP Job Responsibilities: Manage and maintain VMs through V-center Regular Health check-up & monitoring of all the HW systems in Data center & DR site as well Maintaining O&M ticket related to Infra HW & provide resolution with in defined SLA. Monitoring of Disk utilization. Monitoring of network connectivity w.r.t hardware & productions Checking of Power supply to ensure fluctuation free NW VMware support including V-management Center Periodical cleaning & maintenance of all NW hardware devices 3Par SAN maintenance and support Backup tape management and support including Microfocus Data protector. Ensure daily, weekly, monthly and yearly Health Checkup, backups & Utilization reports of Servers/Storage device/DB`s/Load balancer/VM`s management servers. Manage and maintain Load balancer(Alteon 5208) Maintenance and setup of firewall (Sonicwall & Checkpoint) and taking care of security management. Fault monitoring of HW devices & take precautionary action to provide resolution Setup and manage connectivity between DC and DR Actively involved for maintenance & services of NMS HW (Switches/Servers) for proper functioning of Network services. Upgrade OS version & patches on all NW Hardware devices. Regular Health checkups of the DB's & Utilization of servers Taken care of all HW Infra part maintenance. Sound knowledge of network architecture . Taken care of services & preventive action to running all devices fine Taking subsequent preventive actions for maintenance/suggestion with support of OEMs to avoid any Services fall down Experience required- 4 - 6 years.
