L1 Support Engineer

As a Level 1 Support Engineer with 0-2 years of experience, you will be responsible for supporting site network infrastructure assessments, new builds, refresh, and replacements as well as resolving network issues and service requests. Your primary tasks will involve WAN and LAN configuration using Cisco and Arista devices, implementing firewall rules, deploying new network devices, investigating and fixing network issues, and delivering service requests. To excel in this role, you must possess a strong knowledge of networking, including understanding packet flow, TCP session establishment, troubleshooting bandwidth, latency, and loss of network performance issues. A basic understanding of Linux, specifically Redhat/CentOS, is required. You should be able to read and interpret packet captures using tools like tcpdump and/or Wireshark. Familiarity with WAN technologies, policy-based routing, spanning-tree, VLANs, L2 Switching technologies, IPSEC, Firewalls, routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, LAN, WAN Technologies, and SAN/NAS is essential. Excellent English communication skills are a must, along with proficiency in AWS, Linux, troubleshooting, networking, SQL, and Python.
