Job Description

Location - Thane

Role & responsibilities

Continuously monitor system and application dashboards, alerts, and health metrics.
Validate and categorize incoming alerts and incidents.
Perform initial troubleshooting based on runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Escalate incidents to L2/L3 teams when required, with complete diagnostic information.
Create and update tickets in ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, etc.).
Support shift handovers with proper incident logs and updates.
Participate in bridge calls and provide real-time monitoring input.
Assist in updating observability dashboards and improving monitoring coverage.
Document recurring alerts and suggest automation or tuning opportunities.

Required Skills and Knowledge (L1 Level)

Technical Skills

Basic understanding of system components: servers, applications, networks, cloud services.
Familiarity with one or more monitoring/observability tools:
Metrics/Monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, Datadog, CloudWatch
Logs: Splunk, Elastic Stack (ELK), Loki
Tracing/APM: Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic
Understanding of alert thresholds, health checks, and service uptime concepts.
Knowledge of ITSM ticketing workflows (ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira).
Exposure to Linux/Windows command line (for basic validation checks).
Basic cloud operations awareness (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Soft Skills

Strong communication and incident reporting skills.
Ability to follow SOPs and work in 24x7 shifts.
Attention to detail and high situational awareness.
Quick learner with analytical mindset.
