Kitchen Trainee

A kitchen trainee must include assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, and learning all aspects of kitchen operations under the supervision of senior chefs. Key responsibilities involve following recipes, learning to cook dishes, prepping ingredients, storing food properly, and ensuring the kitchen meets health and safety standards. The role is focused on learning, so duties also include training on equipment and menu planning. Core responsibilities

• Food preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients, cooking meals according to recipes, and learning to cook different dishes.
• Sanitation and hygiene: Clean cooking stations, equipment, and the general kitchen area; adhere to strict food safety, health, and sanitation regulations (like HACCP).
• Inventory and storage: Receive and store kitchen supplies, assist with inventory management, and organize stock.
• Assisting senior staff: Support the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and other cooks with their duties and follow their instructions.
• Quality control: Learn to check the freshness of ingredients and ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.

Other duties

• Learn about and assist with menu planning and development.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely.
• Communicate with other staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Assist with special projects or other duties as assigned.

Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
