Job Summary:

The Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations to ensure the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and taste are consistently maintained. This role involves effectively coordinating with kitchen staff, ensuring strict adherence to the approved menu, and addressing student feedback or complaints promptly and professionally.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure food is prepared and served in compliance with hygiene and quality standards at all times.
  • Monitor taste, portion control, and presentation of all meals to maintain consistency.
  • Verify strict adherence to the daily and weekly menu without unauthorized changes.
  • Conduct regular kitchen inspections to ensure sanitation, cleanliness, and proper waste management.
  • Handle and resolve student complaints and feedback related to food quality or service courteously and promptly.
  • Coordinate with the cooking and service team to ensure smooth operations during meal hours.
  • Maintain documentation related to food quality checks, temperature records, and hygiene audits.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of raw materials to minimize wastage.
  • Train and guide kitchen staff on best practices for hygiene, safety, and food handling.
  • Report operational challenges, equipment issues, and improvement requirements to management.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in kitchen supervision or food service management (institutional catering preferred).
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively handle student interactions.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver consistent results.
  • Attention to detail with focus on quality and compliance.
