The Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEW) Program aims to enhance the mental health and psychosocial development of students, particularly focusing on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) community. Through individual sessions, group therapy, life skills training, and inclusive education initiatives, the program supports the holistic development of students.
• Therapeutic & Emotional Support
Conduct individual counseling sessions and therapy for students with varied emotional and behavioral needs.
• Plan and facilitate monthly group therapy sessions
Deliver psychoeducational group sessions focusing on emotional intelligence, self-awareness, stress management, and related areas.
• Build strong interpersonal rapport with students, ensuring emotional safety and openness. • Assessment & Evaluation: Administer and interpret psychological and psychometric assessments, including cognitive, behavioral, and emotional scales.
• Prepare documentation and reports for student progress, interventions, and referrals. • Support the Guided learners program and provide relevant inputs based on evaluations. • Workshops & Training: Conduct workshops and awareness sessions for students, staff, and parents.
• Participate in internal training and capacity-building sessions.
• Support the planning and execution of wellbeing campaigns, external events, and research projects.
• Collaboration & Inclusion
• Work closely with educators to ensure accessibility and inclusive communication. • Be an active part of the multidisciplinary team to support the holistic development of DHH students.
• Liaise with academic staff, admin teams, and families to ensure coordinated support for students.
• Program Support & Flexibility: Take up additional roles and responsibilities as assigned by the organization. Participate in special projects, research, documentation processes, program reviews, and team discussions.
• Provide suggestions and feedback for the ongoing development of the program.
• Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology/Counseling Psychology.
• Minimum 1 years of hands-on experience in providing therapy and emotional support to adolescents/young adults.
• Strong skills in administering and interpreting psychometric assessments and standardized psychological tools.
• Good command over Marathi, English, and Hindi.
• Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills, especially with young adults. • Open and flexible to work in an inclusive setup and participate in diverse roles. • Willingness to learn Indian Sign Language (training will be provided).
• Demonstrated ability to work with a multidisciplinary approach toward student wellbeing.
• On-site role at our Mumbai Centre, 6-day work week (Monday to Saturday). • Dynamic and student-centered work environment focused on emotional and social development.
