Job Title: Junior Procurement Manager

Location: Bangalore

Industry: Special Purpose Machinery (SPM) / Automation Equipment

Experience: 48 years in procurement/supply chain (preferably in SPM, Automation, or Manufacturing industries)

Qualification:

• BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering with MBA in Supply Chain/Materials Management

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement activities for mechanical, electrical, and automation-related components.
• Source and evaluate suppliers for quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors.
• Coordinate with design, production, and project teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Identify and onboard suppliers with expertise in sensors, robotics, PLCs, IPCs, drives, servo motors, and control systems.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and project teams to align procurement strategies with project timelines.
• Ensure procurement processes are compliant with company policies and international standards.
• Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Monitor supplier performance and build strong vendor relationships.
• Support cost reduction, alternate sourcing, and vendor development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry standards.
• Assist in inventory management, logistics, and timely delivery follow-ups.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes in

  SPM/automation equipment industries

• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components (PLC, sensors, motors, drives, etc.).
• Good negotiation and vendor management
