Role & responsibilities 1. Should have Experience in design and development of Electrical & Power electronics components like converter, inverter modules, battery charger based on the requirements 2. Prior Experience of component qualification programs and new product development in an automotive/ machinery environment is a distinct advantage. 3. Experience in developing electrical components Temperature sensors, actuators, solenoids, motors, Drives, batteries, Contactors and knowledge of Analog circuits, Protection circuits, Controller hardware is an advantage. 4. Proficient in Modeling and simulation of electrical components. 5. Experience in design and debug of embedded microprocessor control systems desired. 6. Knowledge and experience of control systems and software testing and debug an advantage. 7. Capable of developing and executing test plans, interpreting test data, and developing and driving relevant corrective measures where necessary. 8. Previous experience in New Product Development (NPD) process, DFMEA, 6 Sigma, are desirable. 9. Apply systematic problem-solving skills and investigate product Quality and Reliability issues to find root cause and permanent corrective action design change recommendations. 10. Should Knowledge in PLM and Windchill is an advantage 11. Experience in Modelling and simulation would be advantage. 12. Exposure on Hardware design using Alitum would be beneficial Primary Skill 1. Knowledge and ability to work within New Product Development (NPD) Process, with innate understanding of documented prerequisites and Milestone deliverables. 7. Knowledge of relevant electrical safety standards and protocols applicable to mobile AC/DC voltage systems. 8. Able to perform Modelling and simulation of electrical components using Matlab / Dymola tool. 1. How You'll Make an Impact In the role of Engineer for Automation & Drive Systems in Shipbuilding, you will realize solutions in a team with TIA, STARTER, and our digital solutions for all types of ships. You support the implementation of new direct current concepts to solve complex customer requirements and create the associated software projects. Included in these are renewable energies such as solar cells, fuel cells, & batteries. You deal comprehensively with the automated systems on board (control level, power management and propulsion) to implement interfaces and complete solutions. You create detailed Simulations based on our internal solutions to verify the concept and prepare the commissioning You commission the engineered systems worldwide as a team. You are a graduate in Instrumentation, Electrical or Automation Engineering with consistent track record and relevant experience of 6 to 8 years in Drive- Automation Engineering. Hand-on experience with PCS7, WinCC and Step 7, TIA portal. Capable to design independently, technically sound, and effective Drive solutions for Oil & Gas / Marine Knowledge of C++, C#, VB Scripting, Database Management would be added advantage. Knowledge of high-level programming languages (Java, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, ...) and OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) is desirable. Good communication skills, uency in English.
