Junior Officer – Safety (EHS)

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Jr. Officer Safety (EHS) to join our team in Bharuch, Gujarat. The ideal candidate will have 4-9 years of experience in the field.

• Comply with legal requirements for safety, health, and environment at site.
• Maintain a work permit system (W.P.S.) at site and ensure no work is carried out without proper permits.
• Ensure statutory/safety compliance as per factory act and respond to orders from Department of Labor/Factory inspectors.
• Inspect the site to ensure it is a hazard-free environment and provide safety induction training to all employees/contract employees.
• Conduct toolbox meetings at site and audit safety tools, personal protective equipment, and firefighting systems.
• Verify that all tools and equipment of contractors are adequate and safe for use, maintaining proper documentation.
• Investigate all accidents and near-misses, reporting to concerned authorities or mandated by regulations.
• Assist in emergency response and provide first-aid treatment.
• Supervise site construction safety, protecting workers from hazardous situations.
• Implement programs such as LOTO, Hazard communication, Hot/height work, Respiratory Program, and conduct emergency drills; perform HAZOP studies and maintain HSE-related documents & checklists.
• Prepare job-related documents, including daily reports, and instruct usage during job execution to prevent accidents; conduct tool box talks before new work starts and instruct PPE usage.
• Actively supervise all site project activities from a safety point of view, addressing and resolving issues during construction.

• Diploma in Fire & Safety (Mandatory) / B.E/B. Tech, Bachelor's degree in safety or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Extensive knowledge of OHSAS (ISO 45001:2018), DOT, NFPA, EPA, etc.
• Experience in engineering, engineering design, R&D, or quality.
• Knowledge of EHS, Industrial Safety, Fire and Safety, and Walk-in procedures.
• Ability to prepare job-related documents, including daily reports, and instruct usage during job execution to prevent accidents.
