Role Overview:

The Junior Network Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting the Support & Implementation team by ensuring seamless client operations related to IT infrastructure. The role demands quick responsiveness to both online and on-site technical issues faced by our hospital clients. This is a dynamic, field-facing role that blends customer support, system troubleshooting, and basic networking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of LAN, WAN, and wireless networks in hospital environments.
• Respond to client-reported issues related to network connectivity, IP configuration, router/modem setup, printer integration, etc.
• Provide technical support during software deployment, upgrades, and integrations of Grapes HMS.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues such as switches, access points, biometric devices, and thin clients.
• Coordinate with the software support team to identify and resolve system-related problems quickly.
• Conduct on-site visits to hospitals/clinics for physical inspection, setup, and problem resolution.
• Maintain logs, documentation, and incident reports for all support interactions.
• Educate and support hospital IT staff/end-users for optimal network practices.
• Ensure minimal downtime by providing timely and efficient resolution of network-related issues.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Diploma/Graduate in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in network support or IT field support roles.
• Strong understanding of basic networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching/routing).
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux environments and hospital peripheral hardware.
• Ability to diagnose network and system issues methodically and independently.
• Good communication skills in English and Malayalam (Hindi is a plus).
• Willingness to travel frequently to client hospitals and work odd hours, including weekends, if required.
• A customer-first attitude, patience, and accountability under pressure.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a hospital or clinical IT setting.
• Knowledge of healthcare IT infrastructure, such as HIS integration and patient data networks.
