Position Overview

Junior Network Engineer & Infrastructure Associate

Key Responsibilities

Network Administration

• Assist in configuring, maintaining, and monitoring network devices such as

  routers, switches, firewalls, and access points

  .
• Perform

  L1/L2 troubleshooting

  for network connectivity issues (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP).
• Monitor network performance using tools like

  Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds

  , or similar.
• Support

  VPN setup

  and user connectivity issues (IPSec, SSL, Client VPNs).
• Help with

  network documentation

  , topology diagrams, and inventory management.

Server & Infrastructure Support

• Provide L1 support for

  Windows/Linux servers

  , patching, and basic system administration.
• Assist with

  cloud services

  (AWS / Azure / GCP)particularly EC2, IAM, S3, VPC networking, security groups, etc.
• Perform routine maintenance, backups, and updates for infrastructure components.
  

Security & Compliance

• Work with senior engineers to implement

  network security best practices

  .
• Assist in managing

  firewall rules, ACLs

  , and endpoint protection systems.
• Support identity and access management policies including

  MFA, password policies, and least-privilege access

  .

IT Operations & Support

• Provide support for

  end-user issues

  , including network access, VPN, printers, and system login problems.
• Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and hardware suppliers for troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, changes, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in

  Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Telecommunications

  , or related field.

• 12 years of experience

  in networking or IT infrastructure role
• Strong understanding of:

OSI & TCP/IP model

Switching & routing basics

DHCP, DNS, NAT, VLANs, STP

Basic firewall concepts

• Hands-on experience with at least one vendor:

  Cisco / Fortinet / MikroTik / Juniper / Ubiquiti

  .
• Basic knowledge of

  Linux or Windows server administration

  .
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
  

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• CCNA or equivalent certification (even in progress).
  
• Awareness of

  SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint security

  tools.
• Experience with

  shell scripting / PowerShell

  for basic automation.
• Exposure to backup solutions, monitoring tools, and ITIL processes.
  
• Experience with

  SFTP, VPN tunnels, and firewall logs

  .
