Network Engineer

Job Overview:

The Network Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing network systems, including LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and other network-related technologies. You will work closely with IT teams to ensure smooth network operations and provide solutions for network-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
  
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime, security, and reliability.
  
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  
• Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
  
• Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and policies.
  
• Perform regular network performance tuning and optimization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
  
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
  
• Experience configuring and managing network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
  
• Knowledge of VPNs, VLANs, and network segmentation.
  
• Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  
• Familiarity with network security best practices and tools.
  
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
  
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  
• Knowledge of scripting for network automation (Python, Bash, etc.).
  
• Exposure to software-defined networking (SDN) and network virtualization technologies.
  
• Experience with wireless network setup and management.
