Job Title: Junior Interior Designer

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses a strong passion for interior design, excellent software skills in 2D and 3D drawings, and the ability to create captivating designs. In addition to design skills, the candidate should be comfortable visiting project sites and preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs).

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with senior interior designers and project teams to develop innovative and functional design concepts for residential and commercial spaces.

- Utilize software tools, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3D modeling software, to create detailed 2D and 3D drawings that accurately represent design ideas.

- Prepare presentations, mood boards, and material sample boards to effectively communicate design concepts to clients.

- Assist in conducting site visits to gather necessary information, assess existing conditions, and ensure design feasibility.

- Take accurate measurements and document site observations to inform design development.

- Support the creation of detailed specifications and BOQs for procurement and cost estimation purposes.

- Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate fresh ideas into design projects.

- Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to source materials, obtain quotes, and ensure project specifications are met.

- Coordinate with project teams to ensure design intent is accurately implemented during construction and installation.

- Maintain accurate project documentation and files, including design drawings, specifications, and correspondence.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design or a related field.

- Proven experience in creating 2D and 3D design drawings using software tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3D modeling software.

- Strong design sense and ability to generate creative design solutions.

- Proficiency in preparing presentations and effectively communicating design ideas to clients and team members.

- Ability to visit project sites, assess conditions, and take accurate measurements.

- Familiarity with preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for procurement and cost estimation purposes.

- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
