About the Role

The

Public Arts Trust of India (PAT

I) seeks a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Coordinator to join our team and contribute with passion and fresh ideas to start their career in the arts. Youll be a vital and much needed team member, keeping all of the day-to-day operations going on at the Public Arts Trust as we expand our programmes and projects across the city of Jaipur.
While some prior experience is appreciated, it is not essential. What matters most is your motivation to learn quickly, your strong communication and organisational skills, and your collaborative, proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

General Administration

  • Support with calendar scheduling, drafting correspondence, organising meetings, preparing papers, and recording/distributing notes and action points.
  • Handle inquiries through mail, telephone, and email.
  • Manage booking systems and data collation through platforms like Eventbrite and SurveyMonkey, and assist with report preparation.

Coordination and Liaison Support

  • Support the development and maintenance of relationships with schools, educational institutions, and grassroots organisations in Jaipur.
  • Assist in coordinating events, workshops, and educational programmes.
  • Provide logistical support for artists and programme participants, including travel, lodging, meals, and other arrangements.
  • Work closely with the curatorial team to act as a liaison between artists and the organisation coordinating meetings, ensuring regular follow-ups, and assisting in project communication.

Support to Production and Curatorial Teams

  • Report directly to the Production Manager to assist with day-to-day production coordination.
  • Support in condition checking, safe handling, and documentation of artworks during installation and deinstallation processes.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the artwork inventory and storage records.
  • Help the team ensure all exhibition and programme components are executed smoothly and on schedule.
  • Support in procuring and sorting materials, supplies, and other resources required for ongoing projects and exhibitions.

Social Media Content Creation

  • Contribute to the development of engaging and accurate content for our social media platforms.
  • Coordinate with the communications team to ensure timely posting and coverage of ongoing activities.

Finance and Administration

  • Work with the team to cross-check and ensure all supplier invoices are accompanied by the necessary documentation for efficient processing.
  • Assist in maintaining expenditure logs and budget trackers in coordination with the Director.

Other

  • Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned by your line manager.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Fine Art, Art History, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A friendly, good-humoured, and flexible approach to work.

Desirable:

  • Alignment with the core values and mission of the Public Arts Trust of India.
  • Some relevant experience in arts administration, exhibition coordination, or public art projects.
