Junior Consultant

Job Description: Junior Doctor (MBBS, DGO, MD)

Position: Junior consultant ( Only Female )

Qualification: MBBS, DGO (Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology), MD (Doctor of

Medicine)

Department: Obstetrics and Gynaecology (or as applicable to medical specialty)

Reports to: Senior Consultant / Medical Officer

Location: Ketkar Hospital, Temple bazar road, Sitabudi, Nagpur.

Job Type: Part-time (with night duty once a week)

Key Responsibilities:

o Provide high-quality medical care to patients in accordance with established

protocols and procedures.

o Assist in obstetric and gynaecological procedures under supervision, including

deliveries, surgeries, and minor medical interventions.

o Assist in the management of labor and delivery, ensuring the safety of both

mother and baby.

o Provide counselling and support to patients regarding pregnancy, infertility,

family planning, and reproductive health.

o Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with the ability to work under pressure.

o Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and the

medical team.

o Knowledge of current medical guidelines and evidence-based practices.

o Strong work ethic and commitment to continuous learning.

o Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to patient care.

Required Qualifications:

 MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) from an accredited medical

school.

 DGO (Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology) or MD (Doctor of Medicine) in

Obstetrics and Gynaecology or another relevant specialty.

 Valid medical registration with Indian medical council.

 Clinical experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (2 years required)

Working Hours:

 Shift-based working hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties (as

applicable).
