Job Description

Position:

Position Summary

  • Data Management & Processing:

    • Maintain and update student records, registration details, and examination data with high accuracy.
    • Utilize

      Microsoft Excel

      extensively for tasks such as creating detailed

      mark sheets

      , performing complex data sorting/filtering, applying formulas for grade calculations, and generating statistical reports.
    • Assist in the preparation of examination schedules, seating plans, and invigilation duties using dedicated software and Excel.
  • Documentation & Coordination:

    • Handle confidential examination documents, question papers, and answer booklets securely.
    • Assist in the coordination between faculty, various university departments, and external agencies related to examination logistics.
    • Prepare official correspondence, notices, circulars, and reports related to examinations.
  • Result Generation:

    • Participate in the process of marks entry, tabulation, and verification of results.
    • Ensure timely and accurate publication of examination results and issuance of grade cards/transcripts.
    • Assist in the handling of student queries regarding results, revaluation, and verification.
  • System Maintenance:

    • Assist in the basic upkeep and troubleshooting of the department's computer systems and software applications used for examination management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Educational Background:

    A Bachelor-s degree in

    Computer Science

    (B.Sc. / B.E. / B.Tech) is mandatory.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel

      is required, including the ability to use VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting, and other advanced functions for reporting and analysis.
    • Basic knowledge of database management concepts is preferred.
    • Familiarity with standard office software (Word, PowerPoint).
  • Core Competencies:

    • Excellent

      attention to detail

      and accuracy in handling confidential data.
    • Strong

      organizational

      and

      time-management

      skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills (English and Marathi/Hindi).
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
