Jr. Test Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Test Engineer to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience in software testing, strong analytical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and senior QA engineers to ensure applications meet business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Understand project requirements and prepare test plans, test cases, and test data.

• 
  Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

• 
  Execute manual test cases and assist in test automation execution where applicable.

• 
  Log, track, and verify defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.).

• 
  Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and troubleshoot issues.

• 
  Ensure testing activities are carried out within agreed timelines.

• 
  Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

• 
  1–2 years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automation).

• 
  Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC.

• 
  Hands-on experience with test case management and defect tracking tools.

• 
  Knowledge of any automation testing tools (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) is an advantage.

• 
  Familiarity with SQL queries for database validation.

• 
  Good understanding of web applications, APIs, and mobile application testing is a plus.

• 
  Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• 
  Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• 
  Basic programming knowledge (Java, Python, or JavaScript) for test automation.

• 
  Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) is an added advantage.
